Art with a grain of salt

Life is too short and messy to gloss over the little joys of daily life, so I make art and illustrations to celebrate them, with a touch of play and levity. My name is Shayna Sell, and I’m an illustrator from the mitten state (Michigan) making food and floral-inspired illustrations for products, freelance projects, and art licensing.

I believe in creating work that adds beauty, play, and texture to the everyday. Points of inspiration include vintage travel brochures, mid-century advertising, botanical illustration, and good food. When I’m not working, you can find me in the garden or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
